Section 32
Goods can be auctioned:

(1) Any goods seized in connection with an offense punishable under this Act - if it appears to be liable to damage due to rust or breakage due to long-term detention, or if it is perishable, or if it is fully depreciated, if it is abandoned or cannot be kept due to lack of space, or if it cannot be protected If there is or if any part is seized, the investigating officer shall take the approval of the Director General and if the value determined by the evaluation committee is fixed and the goods are agreed to be accepted by the goods owner, he shall be liable for the goods.
(2) If the owner of the goods as per sub-section (1) does not agree, after completing the prescribed process, the investigation officer may auction such goods to an organized organization wholly or partially owned by the Government of Nepal for the amount assessed by the evaluation committee as per sub-section (1) after taking the approval of the Director General. In that way, the proceeds from the auction sale will be tied to the related bond or revenue account (3) Sold by auction in accordance with this clause. If the goods are later returned to the owner, the owner will get back the proceeds from the auction of the goods and ten percent interest on the amount determined to be returned, and he will not have any claim to receive such goods.
